So Jaron is sick!! He has had a cough now for a month and a half. I have taken him to the doctor twice for it. They told me he had a upper respretory thing but it would pass since they don't really like giving small babies medication unless they absolutely need it.
He woke up at about 11pm on Tuesday and had a HORRIBLE cough. Not only did he have this new cough but he couldn't breath very well either. We immediatly took him to the ER. The ER doctor told us that he had Croup and had some chest x-rays done. He gave us a presription for amoxacillian and a steroid and sent us home. The next morning I took him to his peds office and they gave him a once over and prescribed some Zyrtec for him as well since he has been having allergys. All is good...or so I thought.
I get a call the next morning while I was at work. It was the radiology department at the hospital. They told me they had the results of Jaron's x-rays and he has the beginning signs of pnemonia!! My heart sank. I hung up and immediatly called his peds office and told them about the phone call I just recieved. They reassured me and said they would get the results sent to them and give us a call back. Later that day they called back and perscribed us a nebulizer!
So now my poor baby is all drugged up but feeling better. The nebulizer is working really well. Not to mention it's pretty cute...a penguin with a igloo case!!
